About the Company

Our client is a leading engineering and infrastructure business delivering major transmission, substation and renewable energy projects across Australia.

Due to continued project growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Primary Design Engineer to join their high-performing team working across utility, BESS and renewable energy projects.

About the Role

You will provide technical expertise and leadership across the design and delivery of high voltage substation and renewable energy projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Primary design for substations and renewable energy projects up to 500kV
• Design of layouts, earthing, lighting and cable systems
• Performing engineering calculations and technical studies
• Producing and reviewing designs using AutoCAD
• Supporting multidisciplinary project teams
• Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical leadership
• Ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and Safety in Design principles

About You

• Degree qualified Electrical Engineer
• Strong experience in HV substation primary design
• Experience across transmission, utilities or renewable energy projects
• Knowledge of AS 2067 and relevant Australian Standards
• Experience with substations up to 500kV highly regarded
• AutoCAD experience
• RPEQ/RPEV or Chartered status advantageous
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
