Introduction

On behalf of our client, a High Profile Tier 1 Mining Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a HR Advisor to support the business through change and restructure. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive HR Team and advance your career in a professional, high achieving environment. This will be a 6 month FIFO contract, 5:2 / 4:3 roster, 12 hr days, from Perth, 6 month contract.

What are you going to do

You will work closely with the Leadership Team and be responsible for supporting both operational and transformational objectives across a large portfolio.

  • Managing, supporting and developing a team of HR Professionals
  • Aligning operational and transformational objectives while working closely with the Leadership Team
  • Building awareness and understanding of the operating model across the HR community
  • Interacting with and influencing key stakeholders across the business
  • Applying knowledge of Shared Services operations including payroll and Human Resources processes
  • Operating across a wide range of focus areas and levels of detail
  • Managing high-volume, high-impact workloads within a matrix environment
  • Coaching Business Leaders to enhance effectiveness in people-related activities
  • Leading and implementing internal projects and initiatives including continuous improvement and standardisation activities aligned to the People Services Regional Operations Team

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • Proven ability to effectively manage stakeholders and influence Leaders across the business
  • Previous experience in a HR Generalist role and managing change at a business level
  • The ability to assess the complexity of organisational change and recommend appropriate levels of effort, capability and resourcing
  • Site-based HR experience within the resources sector is preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and experience working with large datasets to provide insights to stakeholders
  • Experience using SAP, Workday and other HR reporting systems
  • Strong understanding of data management and data accuracy
