Introduction

On behalf of our client, Woodside Energy - a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently recruiting a Global Payroll Governance Specialist to supports the Team in ensuring payroll data management meets the regional regulatory requirements. This will be a 12 month contract, located in the Perth CBD.

What are you going to do

You will also work closely with the Company's Regional Payroll Teams to ensure effective payroll controls and processes are maintained to meet internal requirements such as SOX, Audit and reporting.

  • Ensure payroll is delivered accurately and complies with relevant regulations worldwide
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for internal and external audits, SOX controls and the Global Payroll Governance Risk and Control Matrix (RACM)
  • Collaborate with Payroll, HR and Finance Teams to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes
  • Support continuous process improvements in payroll operations and global governance
  • Liaise with Payroll Leads to reflect regulatory or legislative changes in SuccessFactors ECP
  • Implement global process improvements to maintain Payroll Governance RACM Standards
  • Ensure internal reporting, reconciliations and data submissions to external bodies, eg Australian Bureau of Statistics) are completed accurately and on time
  • Conduct assurance activities, identifying deviations and driving solutions to enhance compliance
  • Provide advice and support to HR stakeholders on complex payroll and administrative matters

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Extensive payroll experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance including payroll tax, STP2, superannuation and financial year-end reporting
  • Experience with global payroll systems; SAP, SuccessFactors EC & EC Payroll experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to influence outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and experience with complex reconciliations
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyse large datasets, identify errors and implement corrective solutions
  • Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines
