A major Oil & Gas operator is seeking a Facilities Engineer / Specialist II to support unconventional facilities projects within the Permian Basin. This role supports small to mid size facilities projects tied to operational optimization, emissions reduction initiatives, and field infrastructure support.

The selected candidate will support project development and delivery activities including facilities scoping, field evaluations, management of change activities, construction coordination, troubleshooting, and project closeout support across upstream production facilities.

Main Responsibilities

* Support development and execution of unconventional facilities projects in the Permian Basin * Perform field walks, facilities scoping, and data collection activities
* Support tank battery and facilities modification projects * Coordinate with operations, construction, and engineering teams during project execution and handover
* Support Management of Change (MOC) activities and engineering documentation updates * Review and support facilities engineering and design deliverables
* Assist with troubleshooting and operational problem solving activities * Support facility startup, turnover, and operational optimization activities
* Monitor facility performance and ensure systems operate as designed after project completion * Support project deliverable closeout activities

* Minimum 5 years of Oil & Gas industry experience * Minimum 3 years of unconventional facilities design experience
* Experience supporting tank batteries, vessel batteries, gathering systems, or facilities modifications * Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills within unconventional facilities environments
* Experience supporting project development and delivery activities * Ability to work closely with operations and construction teams in field environments
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred * Strong communication and coordination skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

* Position is primarily based in Midland, TX * Regular field visits to Carlsbad, NM and nearby field locations required
* Estimated field travel cadence is approximately 2 days every 2 weeks depending on project activity * Carlsbad based candidates may also be considered

Essential skills and knowledge 

* Permian Basin facilities experience * Brownfield facility modification experience
* Experience supporting MOC activities * Experience with facility startup and operational support
* Familiarity with engineering standards, safety requirements, and facility compliance practices
