Electrical Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the Oil and Gas sector, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Technician to join their esteemed team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you'll play an essential part in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our client's onshore facilities. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical maintenance, fault diagnostics, repair, and modification activities within the Company's onshore facilities to provide optimal availability, reliability and cost optimization whilst ensuring that the highest safety and environmental standards are maintained.
• Contribute to a high standard of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) performance by always following HSE standards, including the prompt reporting of any safety or environmental hazards or incidents.
• Perform equipment maintenance / overhaul and repair in a timely and safe manner while ensuring maximum availability, reliability, and safety in their operation.
• Reading and interpreting electrical circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics as well as Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID).
• Prepare permits for routine and non-routine activities, develop related Risk Assessments which identify hazards and manage associated risks to enable safe performance of the activities.
• Diagnose faults, propose, and implement remedial repairs on Company's equipment and systems in a logical and effective manner.
• Ensure that all activity records are properly maintained and updated in the Oracle data base.
• Assist with electrical technician competency development by sharing knowledge with the rest of the team.
• Supervise contract labor whenever instructed by Electrical Supervisor to ensure safe and effective implementation of their duties.
• Propose improvements to the Electrical Supervisor to increase the electrical department's delivery.
• Must be able to interact and communicate effectively in English, in writing and verbally, with individuals in a cross-cultural environment internally and externally as required.
