Introduction

Brunel International is currently seeking a skilled E&I Technician with dual trade capabilities for an exciting FIFO opportunity to Papua New Guinea (PNG). This is a 6-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be expected to start immediately and join a dynamic team working on critical projects in the region.

What are you going to do

As an E&I Technician (Dual Trade), you will be responsible for electrical and instrumentation maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting across various industrial equipment and systems. Working on a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) roster to PNG, you will ensure all electrical and instrumentation work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards and procedures. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in remote locations under varying site conditions.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Trade qualified in Electrical and Instrumentation (dual trade)
  • Proven experience working as an E&I Technician in industrial or mining environments
  • Ability to work FIFO to Papua New Guinea for the duration of the contract
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including installation, maintenance, and fault finding
  • Current relevant licences and tickets (e.g., Electrical Licence, Working at Heights, Confined Space, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multicultural team
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Immediate availability to commence work
  • We will assist with work rights or relevant visa to work in PNG
