Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to oversee and manage critical operations in Baghdad, Iraq. This contract position is integral to the success of their AGUP Phase 2 project, and you'll play a key role in ensuring efficient and safe management of their camp facilities and services for Early Infrastructure Works (EIW) and Network Pipelines (NWP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the camp facilities for Early Infrastructure Works (EIW) and Network Pipelines (NWP) to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Act as lead for the site supervision of all the construction activities for the NWP camp.
  • Coordinate accommodation, catering, and facility services for project personnel, maintaining high standards of comfort and safety.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for camp-related activities, addressing issues and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with contractors and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of camp services.
  • Promote a strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture by ensuring that all camp management activities are performed safely and in compliance with the company's HSE standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of camp facilities to identify and address potential safety and maintenance issues.
  • Develop and implement camp management plans, including emergency response procedures and resource allocation.
  • Monitor occupancy levels and coordinate with HR and logistics teams to ensure optimal use of facilities.
  • Supervise catering, cleaning, and maintenance services to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of camp operations, including budgets, inventories, and incident reports.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Address and resolve any complaints or concerns raised by camp residents.
  • Prepare regular reports on camp performance metrics and suggest improvements.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree or diploma in Facility Management, Engineering, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years in camp / facility management, civil supervision roles, preferably in Oil and Gas projects.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role managing camp operations / civil supervision roles for large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of camp operations, logistics, and facility management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to camp facilities.
  • Proficiency in using facility management software and tools.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
