At Brunel, we believe that small actions can lead to big change — especially when they come from a shared commitment to sustainability. This June, our Toronto office took that commitment to heart by organizing a tree-planting volunteer day to mark Upcycling Day, celebrated on June 24th.

Planting a Greener Future

Led by Clemens Snoeijer, a top recruitment consultant in Canada, the initiative brought Brunellers together to plant over 50 trees across a local Toronto greenspace. The effort wasn’t just about beautifying the environment — it was about doing our part to support long-term ecological health and give back to the community we live and work in.

Tree planting plays a critical role in improving air quality, supporting local wildlife, and reducing carbon emissions. With each tree planted, we’re contributing to a greener future — and that aligns perfectly with the goals of Upcycling Day, which encourages rethinking waste, restoring value to what’s often discarded, and making conscious choices that benefit the planet.

For our team in Toronto, the day was also a chance to connect outside the office, get their hands a little dirty, and reflect on the impact we can have when we come together for a common cause.

This initiative is just one of many ways Brunel continues to support sustainability through real, meaningful action. Whether through global programs or local volunteering, we’re proud to be a company that not only talks about making a difference — but actually gets out there and does it.

To the Toronto team: thank you for leading by example. Your 50 trees will stand tall as a reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together for good.

Participating in the tree planting event was a truly meaningful experience. It wasn’t just about contributing to a greener planet—it was about coming together as a community during Pride to celebrate inclusion, diversity, and belonging. Being surrounded by people who share a commitment to both the environment and creating a more inclusive city made this event especially powerful and inspiring.

We're A Team That Builds Real Talent Connections

Just as planting trees lays the groundwork for a thriving future, our work at Brunel Canada is all about creating long-lasting connections — between skilled professionals and the companies who need them. Events like this one reflect who we are: a team that cares deeply about growth, whether it’s in our communities, our environment, or the careers we help shape every day.
