Job Summary:

This position reports to the Senior Procurement Quality Engineer.

Participate in the engineering, Procurement, and manufacturing process of Electrical equipment (Transformer, Subsea Cable, etc. ) from RFQ to shipment, control, and manage vendor quality issues (TBE, PO, KOM, PIM, Manufacturing, In-progress Inspection, Pressure Test, FAT, Final Inspection, etc.).

Principal Responsibilities:

  • To become familiar with the company's requirements
  • Support the procurement department and participate in various meetings with the Vendor/Company to ensure the product packages meet and comply with the project specifications / Standard and Code equirements.
  • Attend KOM / Organize of PIM and prepare the quality section of the KOM slide.
  • Review and comment on vendor documents (ITP, MPS, FAT procedure, report, etc.)
  • Organize the vendor weekly meeting and communicate to COMPANY regarding the vendor’s progress updates, controversial comments or feedback, and raise a clarification meeting if necessary
  • Proactively liaise with TPC coordinator and update the vendor package progress status information to Engineering/Procurement and Client
  • Verify NOI readiness and forward to TPC coordinator for vendor inspection
  • Review and comment TPC inspection report
  • Manage the NCR if discrepancies are identified and expedite the vendor's resolution proposal / RCA (If necessary) within 3 working days of receiving NCR by vendor.
  • Review the manufacturer's record book / As-built dossier.

Education/Experience / Certification Requirements:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience directly relating to the Quality Assurance procurement execution and vendor inspection activities on Upstream/Offshore priojects.  
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of ISO-9001, IEEE, IEC, ATEX, and IECEX International standards and code requirements and implementation.
  • Be able to demonstrate working knowledge of codes required by the purchase order, such as National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IEC 60076, or equivalent standards, etc.
  • Shall have IEC 60079 qualification. ATEX, IECEX will add value
