About this role

  • Competency-Based Training: Deliver structured programs to onboard and upskill train drivers, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Workplace Assessments: Conduct competency evaluations, identify skill gaps, and provide development support.
  • Safety Culture: Champion zero-harm behaviours aligned with safety leadership principles and legislation.
  • Training Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure readiness for audits.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to refine training materials and methodologies.
  • Mentorship: Coach team members to promote confidence and operational excellence.
  • Operational Engagement: Conduct field assessments and support shift coverage as needed.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Align training initiatives with business needs through effective liaison with key departments.

Is this you?

  • Experienced train driver (essential)
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Train Driving (desirable)
  • YOu must have current right to work in Australia to be considered for this role
  • A class C manual driving licence
  • Must be willing to work on a 4:3 4:3 8:6 rolling roster
