Brunel is seeking experienced Scraper & Moxy Operators for the Haul Roads Project in Weipa. The successful candidates will operate Scrapers and Moxy Tippers to support bulk earthworks, haul road construction, and material transport. This is a FIFO role with flights provided from Brisbane or Cairns on a 2/1 roster.
Brunel is seeking experienced Scraper & Moxy Operators for the Haul Roads Project in Weipa. The successful candidates will operate Scrapers (Elevating or twin Scrapers) and Moxy Tippers (Articulated Dump Trucks) to support bulk earthworks, haul road construction, and material transport. This is a FIFO role with flights provided from Brisbane or Cairns on a 2/1 roster.
Operate Motor Scrapers to cut, load, haul, and spread bulk earth materials efficiently
Operate Moxy Tippers to transport materials safely across the site
Conduct pre-start checks and report any equipment faults or maintenance needs
Follow project plans to achieve accurate cut/fill depths, grades, and compaction
Work closely with survey teams, dozer operators, and graders to meet specifications
Adhere to strict site safety protocols, including speed limits and load management
Assist with loading/unloading coordination between scrapers, excavators, and dump trucks
Maintain clean and organized work areas, minimizing environmental impact
Mandatory RII Tickets:
RIIMPO338E - Conduct scraper operations (or equivalent)
RIIMPO337E - Conduct articulated haul truck operations (for Moxy)
Minimum 3+ years experience operating scrapers and ADTs in mining or large civil projects
Proven ability to work with GPS machine guidance systems (highly regarded)
Coal Board medical or ability to obtain - mandatory
HR Driver's Licence (preferred)
Ability to work FIFO on a 2/1 roster in remote, physically demanding conditions
