This role would suit an experienced Tradesman / Trades Assistant looking for a side hustle or an Apprentice looking for their next career move?

As a Terminal Operator, you'll play a vital role in managing all aspects of terminal operations, including shipping, product transfers, tank gauging, stock control, and truck loading operations. You will be crucial in ensuring smooth and efficient workflows, operating control systems, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
In addition to your operational responsibilities, you'll also be involved in general tasks such as preventive maintenance, equipment inspection, site documentation, and maintaining site cleanliness. Participation in safety protocols, including the LOTO system and prestart meetings, will be essential to your success in this role.

Is this you?

  • A trade qualification in a mechanical or technical field (desirable)
  • Familiarity with safety management systems, such as permit-to-work processes.
  • Previous training or experience in truck and ship loading and wharf duties.
  • Experience in chemical handling facility operations desirable but training will be provided
  • Strong understanding of handling Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Chemicals.
  • Computer literacy for operational and documentation purposes.
  • Valid forklift license would be benefical
  • Confined space training highly desirable
