About this role

As a Drafter, you'll be responsible for producing clear, accurate, and compliant construction documentation across single and double-storey homes. You'll collaborate closely with Estimating, Design, Engineering, and Construction teams to ensure every plan is build-ready and aligns with design intent, regulations, and project requirements.

  • Prepare high-quality working drawings, site plans, floor plans, elevations, and construction details
  • Modify and update existing plans based on client selections, specifications, and council requirements
  • Interpret engineering reports, survey information, and architectural sketches
  • Ensure all drawings comply with building codes, regulations, and company standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve design, compliance, or buildability queries
  • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and constructability
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drafting standards, residential construction methods, and industry changes

Is this you?

  • 5+ years' experience drafting residential homes (project homes or custom homes)
  • Strong proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit-depending on client preference)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering designs, surveys, and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, professional team
