About this role

This is a pivotal position suited to an estimator with a solid foundation in residential construction and a passion for accuracy. You'll play a key role in shaping tendering, pricing, and commercial outcomes, working cross-functionally with Sales, Design, and Operations to deliver competitive, market-aligned costings.

  • Preparing quotation packs, tenders, and variations with accuracy and clear documentation
  • Producing comprehensive retail cost estimates, ensuring appropriate margins and markups
  • Generating fixed site costs and providing timely pricing support to the Sales team
  • Working closely with drafters, engineers, construction staff, and broader internal teams
  • Reviewing architectural and engineering drawings to determine buildability and cost implications
  • Assessing materials, labour requirements, and site conditions from plans and specifications
  • Evaluating proposed design adjustments and outlining their commercial impacts
  • Identifying improvements within existing processes to strengthen operational efficiency

Is this you?

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in residential estimating or related construction roles
  • Solid understanding of building practices, terminology, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong ability to interpret detailed plans, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Excellent analytical capability backed by sound commercial judgement
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders
