Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to support ongoing offshore production operations. This role requires strong Operator-side experience and a proven background supporting offshore operating facilities, along with a sound understanding of NOPSEMA regulatory environments.

This is an initial 6-month contract with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role, subject to performance and organisational requirements. Due to an upcoming departure within the team, we are ideally seeking someone who can commence as soon as possible.

The position reports to the Engineering Manager and does not have direct reports; however, it works closely with Production, Maintenance, Vendors and offshore teams on mechanical integrity and reliability initiatives.

About this role

  • Maintain the mechanical integrity and reliability of equipment across offshore production operations
  • Lead engineering scopes, troubleshooting, improvement projects and modification works
  • Support MOC processes and equipment reliability investigations
  • Contribute to maintenance strategy development and execution planning
  • Liaise with vendors, OEMs and offshore personnel to resolve issues and drive uptime
  • Ensure alignment with safety case requirements and regulatory expectations

Is this you?

  • Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer
  • Significant Operator-side experience (essential)
  • Experience supporting offshore operating facilities (essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of NOPSEMA compliance requirements
  • Self-sufficient, pragmatic and capable of managing operational priorities
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively
