Introduction

Brunel is seeking an experienced Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to join a major Lower-Carbon Optimisation Project within the energy sector. This long-term assignment offers the opportunity to support a world-class carbon capture and storage initiative.
You will be based in Perth on a Compressed Work Week roster with occasional travel to site and fabrication yards. The contract runs from October 2025 through June 2027.

About this role

  • Provide Civil and Structural engineering support during late design, detailed design, fabrication and construction phases
  • Review and approve a wide variety of discipline deliverables, including contractor CTRs, RFIs and technical bid packages
  • Develop technical solutions, conduct functional reviews for Management of Change and ensure compliance with industry best practices and project governance frameworks
  • Support construction and fabrication scopes by resolving technical queries and contributing to safe, efficient project delivery
  • Foster strong collaboration across construction, fabrication, site teams, and execution contractors

Is this you?

  • Extensive civil and structural engineering experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry with strong knowledge of Australian Standards
  • Proven track record in late-phase design supporting structural steel, concrete, civil earthworks, trenching and drainage design
  • A collaborative and resilient working style that thrives in a dynamic project environment
  • Desirable skills include proficiency with STAAD Pro, SpaceGass, and Tedds and familiarity with project development and execution processes
