Introduction

On behalf of our client, a leading Tier 1 Mining Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to support the development and implementation of maintenance strategies, conduct investigations and assist with reliability projects. This will be a casual contract on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth.

About this role

  • Developing Failure Modes and Effects Symptoms Analysis (FMESA) and maintenance strategies for all assets
  • Assist Engineers in performing Critical Spares Reviews and developing Bill of Materials (BOMs) for Assets
  • Conduct 5 Why investigations and manage Defect Elimination Portal (DEP) reporting requirements to identify and address root causes of reliability issues
  • Review and improve Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Safe Work Instructions (SWI) for maintenance tasks
  • Initiate, execute and deliver a Reliability Project as part of the Identify then Rectify (ITR) or Risk reduction Activity (RRA) program
  • Support Engineers in managing reliability initiatives aligned with Strategic Business Objectives, such as Improvement to Reliability (ITR), Reliability Risk Assessment (RRA), and Business Improvement (BI)
  • Provide engineering advice and direction for shutdown and weekly maintenance
  • Assist Reliability Specialists with improvement projects and maintenance support

Is this you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering OR a Mechanical Engineering Trade
  • Extensive experience leading workstream and growing influence
  • Previous mine-site experience
  • Confident analytical skills and ability to provide engineering support
  • Effective communication skills and capability to work collaboratively with various teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office Site and MS Project is essential
