We are seeking a senior IT infrastructure lead to influence how a large organisation evolves its core technology environment. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and engineering, working with senior stakeholders to prioritise investment, uplift legacy environments, and guide the delivery of scalable, future-ready platforms.
About this role
In this role, you will:
- Shape the direction of infrastructure platforms, ensuring they meet current and future business needs
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to identify gaps, risks and improvement opportunities
- Develop and present investment cases, balancing cost, risk and long-term value
- Guide the evolution of environments across cloud, networks, hosting and security domains
- Work closely with architecture and delivery teams to ensure solutions are practical and implementable
- Influence how platforms are designed, governed and delivered across the organisation
- Support long-term planning through roadmaps, lifecycle management and upgrade strategies
- Ensure alignment with resilience, security and operational requirements
- Provide technical oversight across key initiatives without being hands-on delivery focused
- Engage across teams to ensure alignment between technology, operations and business priorities

Key experience includes:
- Strong background across enterprise infrastructure environments
- Experience influencing or defining technology strategy and direction
- Exposure to cloud platforms, networking, hosting and security
- Proven ability to develop roadmaps, investment plans or business cases
- Experience working across complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
