Senior Rotating Engineer for Rotating Equipment Division
What are you going to do
Analyze and guide asset maintenance team of various support for rotating equipment maintenance activity and troubleshooting for LNG plant.
Prepare 4 blocker after critical equipment trouble shooting.
Work pack preparation: plan and execute all planned and unplanned rotating equipment major jobs during the planned shutdown including gas & steam turbines and compressors.
Work with asset/shutdown planning and other team members to review materials reservation, schedule, and pre-shutdown activity including l tools and spares verification.
Ensure quality control of all plan maintenance activities for Gas turbines, steam turbine and compressor mechanical jobs and refurbishment activity at workshop.
Quality verification of asset maintenance rotating equipment related jobs.
Follow-up on all gas turbine mechanical activity and co-ordination with assets.
Review and prepare all documents e.g., job cards, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), quality check list for gas turbine and compressor jobs. Manage any LTSA contract if applicable.
Review availability of spares of critical equipment and recommend and missing spares to materials team for stock creation and procurement.
Identify the System obsolescence and raise EMOC for up gradation well in advance.
Raise the improvement suggestion and Implementation of EMOC recommendations.
Support for Management of Change feasibility study by providing system input.
Participate in Root cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Risk Assessment, HAZOP study and provide necessary data for this Analysis.
Provide facility for technical training and coaching of mechanical technicians and Qatari National Developees for rotating equipment.
Lead for repair and refurbishment process for critical rotating equipment components e.g. rotor, DGS, seal bearing etc.
Coordinate with multi-different team members to complete this process so that items will repair on time.
Develop Maintenance procedures and ECAS procedure for various Rotating equipment related systems.
Develop the maintenance contract scope of work, TBE, terms and condition review and co-ordinate with supply team for finalize the contract on time.
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
6 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry or petrochemical industry.
Experience in rotating equipment, major overhauling and troubleshooting experience.
Sound knowledge on Gas turbine, steam turbine, compressor and pump and its auxiliary system.
Conversant with standards and specifications of company, national and international bodies.
Knowledge of SAP system.
Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
Computer literate, and competent with a variety of engineering software tools.
