Introduction

A rare opportunity exists for a technically strong Senior Resource Geologist to take full ownership of Mineral Resource modelling across two complex, high-grade gold operations in the Kalgoorlie region.

This is a pivotal technical leadership role responsible for delivering reconciled, audit-ready models that directly influence mine planning, reserve conversion and long-term asset strategy. You will operate as the subject matter expert for estimation methodology, reconciliation performance and QA/QC governance while mentoring a capable and growing geology team.

With an active drilling program, structurally complex orebodies and strong production growth, this position offers genuine technical challenge and long-term career progression across multiple assets.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Full technical ownership of resource models across multiple operations
  • High-impact role influencing reserves and mine planning strategy
  • Genuine mentoring and leadership opportunity
  • Rapidly growing business with strong drilling investment
  • Long-term development into Principal or multi-asset resource leadership

What are you going to do

  • Deliver and maintain robust Mineral Resource models for underground and open pit operations
  • Apply advanced linear and non-linear estimation techniques (OK, MIK, LUC, simulation)
  • Own reconciliation against grade control and production, including root-cause analysis
  • Govern drilling, sampling and assay QA/QC workflows
  • Improve resource classification confidence supporting mine planning outcomes
  • Mentor Project and Mine Geologists and uplift modelling capability across the team
  • Interface with Mine Planning, Production and Technical Services

Technical Environment

  • Structurally complex, high-grade gold systems
  • Combined underground and open pit mining
  • Active drilling program including grade control, RC and diamond drilling
  • Leapfrog and Leapfrog Edge modelling environment (essential)
  • Strong near-mine exploration pipeline

This role requires someone who can build models from raw data, not simply maintain existing block models.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Senior gold Resource Geologist with advanced Leapfrog Edge capability
  • Strong experience in reconciliation and model validation
  • Background in nuggety or structurally controlled gold deposits
  • Exposure to both underground and open pit environments
  • Autonomous technical leader who can mentor and develop others
  • Confident communicator across technical and operational stakeholders
  • Currently based in Western Australia and able to mobilise without visa sponsorship

What we offer

  • Established Senior salary: $170k - $180k + super
  • 15% short-term incentive linked to safety, production and company performance
  • Total potential package circa $230k
  • FIFO Perth, DIDO or residential Kalgoorlie options
  • 8/6 roster, day shift only
  • Commercial flights with frequent flyer benefits
  • Strong technical leadership team and collaborative culture
  • Multi-asset growth pipeline providing long-term career progression
