Introduction

On behalf of our client - Woodside Energy, Brunel is presently sourcing an experienced Rotating Engineer to join the Karratha Gas Plant team. This 18 month contract role is Perth-based with regular travel to site.

This is an excellent opportunity to further build your production engineering and planning expertise in a multi-discipline team committed to improving asset integrity and reducing operational risk. You'll work on practical and prioritised solutions while collaborating with stakeholders across the plant.

What are you going to do 

As a Rotating Engineer - Technical Support Team (TST):

  • Lead OPEX and CAPEX modifications to reduce safety, environmental, regulatory, and financial risks
  • Provide input into HAZOP/LOPA workshops, ART forums, FP investigations, and respond to engineering queries
  • Manage external service providers for multidiscipline projects including scope definition, budgets, and schedule tracking
  • Support frontline engineering through assessments, investigations, emergent scopes, and leave/turnaround coverage
  • Support planning engineering via maintenance strategies, procedure updates, and technical reviews

As a Rotating Engineer - Planning Team:

  • Support campaign readiness and MOC/STC workpacks for rotating equipment
  • Contribute to Capex projects and optimisation of maintenance strategies aligned with ARP
  • Respond to queries, screen maintenance notifications, and manage Safety & Environmental Critical Elements (WM1040PF9809289)
  • Assist with incident investigations (WM0000PG9905421) and apply lessons learned
  • Provide backfill support to KGP Frontline and Execution Teams

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree-qualified in Rotating Engineering
  • ENG competency per WM0000PG10109352 and/or PSM Knowledge Level per WM0000PG10588246
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
  • Strong knowledge of risk identification, management of change, and rotating asset maintenance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
