Brunel has partnered with a well-established, family-oriented contractor with a strong reputation in the civil and resources sector is looking for an experienced Quarry Manager / SSE to take charge of one of their key quarry sites. As Quarry Manager / SSE, you'll be responsible for leading day-to-day quarry operations, delivering on production targets, and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. You'll lead a close-knit crew who take pride in their work, fostering a positive and productive site culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of quarry operations from production planning to maintenance scheduling
Fulfil statutory obligations as Site Senior Executive (SSE) under Queensland legislation
Lead, develop, and mentor a capable operational team
Manage budgets, resources, and operational efficiency
Maintain compliance with environmental, safety, and industry standards
Current SSE competency (for >20 persons) or the ability to obtain
Strong leadership track record in quarrying, mining, or heavy industry operations
A collaborative leader who can bring the best out of a team
Excellent understanding of safety and environmental compliance
Practical problem-solver with strong operational know-how
