Support Contractor to identify and submit the QA/QC documents (ITPs, QCPs, Test Procedures, MARs etc.,) in line with Construction program, and their timely review and approval.
Assist functional supervisor in review / approval of relevant QMS, Engg., & Procurement documents, implementation of Quality Programs, and resolution of discipline matters escalated to the Project Management.
Ensure Implementation of Project QA/QC requirements at project site and suppliers / subcontractor’s works complying to project specification and other technical requirements.
Organize Pre-Activity Review meetings, attend Quality Walk through and QA/QC Weekly meetings.
Undertake surveillance and inspection of on-site and off-site inspection and testing activities, identify potential or actual non-conformances and direct contractor in taking necessary Correction, corrective and preventive actions.
Initiate or ensure initiation of NCR’s for the recurrent surveillance observations and non-Conformalities and coordinate / follow-up for RCA / Correction / Corrective / Preventive action proposals and timely close out.
Monitor the progressive compilation of Material Test Certificates and Construction Records and their traceability.
What are you going to do
Monitor and verify the implementation of Preservation Management System.
Ensure the Contractors maintain, update, and publish the IMTE Registers on regular basis and calibration records maintained.
Ensure appropriate Systems / Processes / Procedures / Computer data base established by Contractor to maintain the Inspection and Test status during field erection, inspection / testing and relevant statistical analysis.
Monitor the KPIs and special processes and personnel performance relevant to the discipline.
Participate in Project QHSE audits and Pre-Qualification Audits of Vendors / Suppliers / Sub-Contractors. Conduct ITP / QCP / MS / Process / Activity level compliance audits / Checks.
Monitor Contactor/Sub-Contractor/Third party inspectors & Engineers and Subordinate’s performance. Provides necessary support / guidance and reports to functional supervisor.
Implement and enforce the elements of Company Quality Management System requirements applicable to your function.
Exposed to Construction Site and Prevailing Climatic Conditions at least 50% of time.
Ensure own safety and the safety of others who may be affected by Company business, whether the activity is under direct control or not.
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or Equivalent) from a recognized university.
IRCA Certified QMS Lead Auditor
Qualification from IECEx-CoPC or CompEx or similar international Certification schemes is desirable.
Membership / Certifications from internationally recognized institutions (ASQ-CMQ&OE, MCQI-CQP or similar) is desirable.
15 years’ experience in the construction of major Green field or Brown-field Process Plants in Oil & Gas industry including experience in Solar Plants (Photovoltaic), Power Plants or similar nature projects is desirable.
Worked with major EPIC Contractors / End User in similar position in major projects with overall responsibility for the Quality of Electrical discipline Construction and Commissioning activities.
Sound working knowledge on QA/QC aspects, testing requirements, Acceptance criteria related to Various Electrical Equipment and Systems (Ratings up to 440kV) and managing Electrical discipline in major Oil and Gas Projects.
Good knowledge in understanding and application of international Codes, Standards and practices (QCS, IEC, IEEE, BS, ISO, UL, IOGP, Shell DEPs etc.) and familiar with those requirements relevant to the job function.
Ability to work well and effectively communicate with contractor / Third Party /End user personnel and colleagues at all levels in multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
Hands on experience in preparation, Review and approval of Quality Plans / ITPs / QCPs / MARs and undertaking Inspection / testing activities related to EHV/HV/LV Cables, HV/LV Motors, MCC, VSDS, DBs, EDGs, NERs, Transformers, Capacitors, CP Systems, Heat Tracing, Lighting, Switch Gear, Panels etc., of various Types / Ratings / Capacities during Field Erection / installation. Including Solar Power System: solar panel, controller, inverters, transformers, battery, UPS, SCADA installation, earthing system, Power Distribution Systems LV, MV & HV, Pre-Commissioning and commissioning.
Experienced in managing the team of discipline inspectors, coordinating respective inspection & testing activities, establishing, and monitoring KPI in respective discipline.
Experienced in development or implementation of Quality Surveillance Program, Completion Management System (CMS) and associate Inspection & Test Records (ITRs), Technical Integrity Verification (TIV), Flawless Project Delivery (FPD), Project Quality Health Check (PQHC) Program.
Experienced in implementing and conducting Pre-Qualification / QMS / Quality and technical compliance checks and audits, Quality Walk through of EPIC organizations and project activities.
