We are seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to support sustaining projects across refinery tailings storage facilities in Western Australia. The role will lead engineering coordination and design management across civil and water infrastructure upgrades supporting ongoing refinery operations.

What are you going to do

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to support a program of sustaining projects focused on tailings storage and water management infrastructure at major refinery operations in Western Australia. The role will lead engineering coordination and design management across civil infrastructure upgrades supporting ongoing operations.

  • Lead engineering coordination across tailings storage and water management infrastructure projects
  • Manage and review engineering design deliverables and technical documentation
  • Coordinate technical interfaces across civil, mechanical, electrical and water infrastructure scopes
  • Provide engineering oversight to ensure alignment with project specifications and industry standards
  • Support project planning, scheduling and contractor coordination
  • Monitor engineering progress and support resolution of technical issues during project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with dam safety requirements and relevant industry standards
  • Provide technical input into contract, procurement and project management activities
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to support safe and efficient project delivery

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil preferred) recognised under the Washington Accord
  • Experience in mining, mineral processing, alumina or heavy industry projects
  • Engineering design and design management experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience with ANCOLD dam design requirements advantageous
  • Exposure to project or contract management favourable
  • Full Australian working rights required
