Production Train Day Superintendent - LNG Location: Milan, Italy | 12-month contract (renewable)

Join a leading international energy operator delivering a world-class LNG project. This role offers the opportunity to support complex production operations within a high-value global development, working alongside industry experts to drive safe, efficient LNG production and plant performance.

What are you going to do

Review engineering documentation to ensure alignment with company standards.
Develop and implement production procedures and operational processes.
Participate in start-up sequence planning and process optimization initiatives.
Contribute to HAZOP reviews, DCS FATs, and alarm reduction strategies.
Implement production systems (PTW, SIMOPS, safety logs, operational controls).
Support digital initiatives including advanced operational tools.
Recruit, train, and develop production personnel.

Ensure personnel safety, environmental protection, and equipment integrity.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to shift teams.
Lead plant optimization and process improvement activities.

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent.
Minimum 20 years' experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or LNG production.
Minimum 10 years in senior production roles.
Minimum 10 years' experience in LNG production plants (not terminals).
Strong knowledge of LNG processes, gas treatment, and storage/loading operations.
Proven troubleshooting expertise and plant operations leadership.
Strong understanding of HSE standards, PTW systems, and emergency response.
Excellent leadership, communication, and English language skills.
