Introduction

Join a dynamic R&D team shaping the future of ambient shelf-life products for global markets. You will contribute to developing innovative dairy products, from powdered milk to ambient drinking yogurt, and make a real impact on product quality, sustainability, and consumer satisfaction. Collaborate with multiple departments and see your ideas come to life on a global scale. This role offers hybrid work flexibility and occasional travel within the Netherlands and Belgium.

What are you going to do 

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement new products, balancing nutritional value, sustainability, compliance, shelf life, cost, and sensory quality.
  • Initiate and execute product and application tests at lab, pilot, and factory scales, analyzing results and documenting insights in clear reports.
  • Present findings to stakeholders and peers, influencing product decisions and improvements.
  • Maintain and enhance existing products through modifications, contingency planning, specification updates, and value engineering.

Essential skills and knowledge 

You are analytical, quality-driven, proactive, and thrive in a team environment. You can engage colleagues and confidently challenge when needed. Additionally, you have:

  • At least a higher education degree (HBO/WO) in Food Technology, Food Processing, Dairy Technology, Physical Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in product development or analytical roles in the food industry, preferably in ambient dairy.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Dutch is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to production sites in the Netherlands and Belgium.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid setting (1-2 days from home).
