Introduction

Brunel is recruiting an experienced Operations Coordinator to join an established oilfield services operation based in Toowoomba.

This is a hands-on operational role for someone who enjoys being at the centre of a busy field services environment. You'll coordinate people, equipment and customer requirements to ensure jobs are properly planned, resourced and delivered safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll provide day-to-day leadership to field personnel and contractors while working closely with maintenance, management and customers to keep operations running smoothly.

If you have experience in oil & gas, well services or a similar field-based environment and are ready to take greater ownership of operational delivery, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a key position.

What are you going to do

  • Coordinate daily field operations, personnel, equipment and resources
  • Manage work forecasts, rosters, scheduling and mobilisation requirements
  • Lead daily operational meetings and ensure effective shift/job handovers
  • Supervise field personnel and contractors to ensure safe and efficient delivery
  • Coordinate directly with customers and site representatives regarding upcoming work
  • Conduct pre- and post-job reviews and maintain operational standards
  • Work closely with maintenance to maximise equipment availability and reliability
  • Ensure HSE, QA/QC and operational procedures are consistently followed
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and operational performance

Essential skills and knowledge 

You'll be an organised, practical and solutions-focused operator who is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving field services environment. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Good experience within oil & gas, oilfield services, well services or a similar operational environment
  • Experience coordinating field crews, equipment, jobs or operational resources
  • Strong leadership and people coordination skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment-based operations
  • Strong customer and stakeholder communication skills
  • The ability to manage changing schedules and operational priorities
  • Current C Class and MR driver's licences
  • Current High Risk Work Licence - Forklift
