Introduction

Brunel is recruiting a Maintenance Coordinator to join an established oilfield services business based in Toowoomba, QLD.

This is a hands-on coordination role responsible for ensuring workshop assets, field equipment and the vehicle fleet are safe, compliant, mechanically reliable and ready for deployment.

Working closely with operations and field personnel, you will take ownership of preventative maintenance and inspection programs, coordinate repairs, manage maintenance activities through MEX and help ensure equipment availability supports the demands of field operations.

This position would suit someone with strong mechanical aptitude and workshop experience who enjoys taking ownership of maintenance priorities, equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

What are you going to do

  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and inspections across field equipment, vehicles and workshop assets
  • Manage maintenance schedules, work orders and equipment records through MEX
  • Coordinate internal and third-party repairs to ensure equipment is safe, reliable and job-ready
  • Maintain equipment testing, inspection and compliance requirements
  • Support field crews with equipment maintenance and practical training
  • Maintain workshop HSE, QA and regulatory compliance
  • Review maintenance procedures and drive improvements in equipment reliability and workshop performance

Essential skills and knowledge 

You will be a mechanically minded maintenance professional with experience in a workshop, field services or heavy equipment environment. Your experience will include:

  • Previous workshop or equipment maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
  • Experience coordinating preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Strong planning, organisation and attention to detail
  • Experience with MEX or another CMMS would be highly regarded
  • Current MR driver's licence and Forklift licence
  • Oil & gas, drilling, mining services or similar industry experience would be advantageous
