Onshore Civil Engineer

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing civil engineering activities to support onshore infrastructure related to offshore oil and gas operations. This role ensures the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of site development, facility construction, and structural integrity in alignment with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and operational needs. The position requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and key stakeholders across engineering, HSE, and project execution functions.
Coordinate, plan, and oversee the execution of all onshore civil engineering works supporting offshore operations.
Review and validate engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction plans to ensure compliance with project standards.
Supervise civil construction activities such as site preparation, foundations, access roads, pipe support structures, and other temporary/permanent facilities.
Ensure all onshore infrastructure works are executed in accordance with HSE regulations, QA/QC standards, and project timelines.
Liaise with contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and maintain alignment across scopes.
Support permitting processes and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements for all civil works.
Monitor progress of site activities, perform inspections, and verify that civil works meet performance and design criteria.
Assist in preparing cost estimates, schedules, and resource plans for civil works scope.
Coordinate interfaces between onshore infrastructure and offshore logistics, ensuring operational readiness.
Report regularly to the project engineering team on site progress, risks, and mitigation measures.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum 12 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 10 years in oil & gas or energy infrastructure projects and 6 years involce in Deepwater project
Proven experience in managing onshore civil works supporting offshore or marine-based developments.
Strong understanding of construction methods, structural design, site development, and geotechnical considerations.
Familiarity with international standards and codes (e.g., API, ACI, ASTM, ISO) and local regulatory requirements.
Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Solid knowledge of HSE practices, QA/QC procedures, and construction safety regulations.
Strong coordination and communication skills to interface effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and authorities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet strict project deadlines.
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
