Introduction

  • Identify, lead and manage the Onshore and Offshore technical and physical Interfaces of Compression Projects with the other on-going and upcoming interdependent Compression Projects as well as other projects or 3rd parties through established Interface Agreement (IA) process, policies & procedures in order to meet the overall objectives and strategies of the NPFS program.
  • Manage project interfaces with varying project deadlines, stringent requirements with unique interface challenges and entities.
  • Sound experience in project management, stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of the project lifecycle.
  • Major challenges of the role are (1) working in an environment driven by tight deadlines (2) managing SIMOPS during the pre and post shutdown period and (3) managing diverse and multiple interfaces within the project

What are you going to do 

  • Provide strategic direction for project interface activities across projects. Ensure that project interfaces are aligned with the organization's goals and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for effective project interface management.
  • Identify and manage risks or issue associated with project related interface, within the project and with other Compression Project Contractor’s and develop mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Ensure potential conflicts between projects are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary interface related approvals.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and ensure preparedness to meet those new requirements.
  • Manage integration of projects, ensuring interdependencies are identified and managed effectively including the potential for simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
  • Lead the interface management efforts, providing interface support to engineering studies executed by technical team and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure project deliverables are aligned and integrated across various projects.
  • Serve as focal point of contact for project interface issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Monitor the progress of project interfaces, ensuring any issues are addressed proactively.
  • Attend monthly critical interface meeting and provide update on any critical interface(s) that could jeopardize the overall program.
  • Ensure complex tasks are completed within the multi-cultural project environment as per agreed plan.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to project interface activities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the status of project interfaces.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering
  • 8 years of experience of interface management in large-scale oil and gas projects including 1 year experience in a supervisory role, including acting/oversight role.
  • Experience in project execution related environment with broad experience of projects, engineering, and operations.
  • Experience in managing large, complex projects and interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management and interdependencies.
  • Experience in developing Interface Management Plans, developing interface management processes, and creating project interface registers and interface reporting systems.
  • Experience in handling complex interface management in large projects and in-depth understanding of project interface management.
  • Experience managing interfaces with government agencies, contractors, and vendors, particularly in the construction of offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities.
  • Experience in legal, commercial, and technical risk management.
  • Effective negotiator, communicator, ensuring clear, accurate, timely, and consistent two-way communication with internal and external organizations for interface-related information and documentation exchange.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for communication and project interface management software.
  • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from variety of cultural backgrounds
  • Proficient in working with multi-discipline and multi-cultural teams, developing work methods in line with company policies, directives, schedules, and professional engineering standards.
