Introduction

We’re hiring HSE Supervisor-Drilling & Completion for one of our Leading organization to join their growing team. This position is based out in Barmer.

What are you going to do

  • Comply with procedures and guidelines.
  • Comply with D&C HSE requirements and support the organization to achieve compliance with requirements.
  • Lead by example and set the standard by following safe procedures, practices and rules.
  • Promote safety awareness among employees by demonstrating behavioural observation skills.
  • Conduct regular surveys/inspection/audit to assess level of safety awareness.
  • Demonstrate Leadership by attending training as required by the organizational training matrix and when required participate in periodic general safety meetings, as well as work site safety meetings, pre-tour meetings or pre-task meetings (randomly).
  • Monitor and evaluate safety program controls and management systems; identify deficiencies and recommend practical improvements, guide and assist management where practical with their implementation and participate in selected formal assessments of program management systems.
  • Predominantly rig-based, the incumbent will make continuous onsite inspections of drilling and completion sites to evaluate the adequacy of the Safety programs, advising on compliance with HSE MS of Cairn Oil & Gas, and instructions.
  • Advise management on deficiencies with corrective actions affecting operations compliance to company accepted standards. Follows up to ensure compliance or application of equally effective alternatives based on sound safety principles.
  • Identify and evaluate process operations and other risk/hazard situations requiring higher level proponent action, and recommends cost-effective solutions to assure a consistent and acceptable standard of safety in line with the D&C HSE requirement.
  • Lead selected Root Cause Analysis investigations as the subject matter expert.
  • Verify facility emergency response plans are maintained, and required emergency drills are conducted
  • Work with the contractor to establish the crew HSE Plan, Emergency plan and all other related documentation. To generate the Bridging Document to link the Company HSE MS with the contractor’s HSE MS. Work with the contractor to establish HSE procedures and ensure that these are then followed in practice in the field. Prepare legal register for drilling and completion operations.
  • Support drilling & completion department to achieve VSAP requirement.
  • Ensure drilling contractors are confirming and maintaining legal requirement of country.
  • Assist in general training requirements for Company personnel.

Essential skills and knowledge

Experience: 9+ Years

Graduation: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineer/ Mechanical engineerLocation: Barmer

Requirement:

  • A minimum of 9 years’ recent past experience in drilling and completion field operations.
  • Previous experience as a company HSE representative on Drilling and completion operation
  • Bachelor Engineering degree (Mechanical/ Chemical) from a reputed institute.
  • Nebosh IGC
  • Master in Technology in Industrial Safety is preferable (Not compulsory)
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a good awareness of cultural sensitivities
  • Excellent command of the English Language (demonstrated by verbal and written skills)
