Introduction

Brunel is currently partnering with a leading multinational manufacturing company to identify an experienced HSE Manager who will drive Health, Safety, and Environmental excellence across its operations in Central/East Java.

What are you going to do

Lead the development and execution of Health, Safety & Environmental strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
Ensure full compliance with Indonesian HSE regulations, company standards, and international best practices.
Drive a proactive safety culture through leadership, coaching, training, and employee engagement.
Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions, and preventive initiatives.
Monitor HSE performance through KPIs, audits, inspections, and reporting.
Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, and senior leadership to improve HSE performance.
Manage environmental compliance, waste management, emissions monitoring, and sustainability initiatives.
Lead emergency preparedness programs and business continuity planning.
Manage external audits and maintain relationships with government authorities and regulatory bodies.

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8-10 years of HSE experience within manufacturing or industrial operations.
At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership position.
Strong understanding of Indonesian HSE regulations and international standards.
Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
Certified AK3 Umum (mandatory); additional HSE certifications are highly regarded.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Fluent in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Willing to be based in Central or East Java.
