Brunel International is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Permitting & Regulatory Manager to join one of our Top Tier clients in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact on environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives in the Gulf region.

What are you going to do

As the Environmental Permitting & Regulatory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of environmental permitting and compliance for our Client's operations in Port Moresby, PNG. Your key duties will include developing and implementing environmental strategies, ensuring compliance with local regulations, managing environmental impact assessments, and liaising with regulatory agencies. Additionally, you will be required to provide guidance and support to project teams on environmental matters and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential skills and knowledge

List of Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
Proven experience in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance, particularly in the PNG O&G context
Strong knowledge of local environmental laws and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Prior experience in stakeholder engagement and community consultation is desirable
