THE OPPORTUNITY: Are you a seasoned Construction Quality Manager looking for a new challenge? Join us in supporting a groundbreaking feasibility study for a high-profile project in Delta, Utah. As the lead for Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our project.


YOUR ROLE: As the lead for Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) in the field, your role encompasses planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of QA/QC activities. You will ensure adherence to quality standards while effectively implementing Quality Control measures. Key responsibilities include:



  1. Inspection and Assessment: Oversee all inspection arrangements and ensure evaluation of work areas in line with project plans and specifications. Verify work quality and request additional support when needed without impacting project timelines.

  2. Reporting and Coordination: Report deficiencies and observations promptly, coordinating with the Document Manager for timely resolution. Escalate issues as required to maintain a safe and high-quality work environment.

  3. Documentation and Communication: Develop and maintain work plans and reports related to QA/QC activities. Ensure effective communication with stakeholders regarding project status and quality assurance matters.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: In addition to the usual duties of a Construction Quality Manager, you will be:



  1. Supporting work package development by reviewing subcontractor assessments and method statements to uphold quality standards.

  2. Assisting in creating Inspection and Test Plans, contributing to comprehensive quality plans by referring to relevant resources.

  3. Reviewing subcontractor ITPs/FQPs and providing feedback to ensure alignment with project requirements.

  4. Evaluating ongoing work quality and ensuring availability of documentation for verification purposes.

  5. Maintaining NCR/QA-QC logs to capture lessons learned and liaising with relevant parties for resolution.

  6. Collecting data for future projects to enhance efficiency in construction activities.

  7. Maintaining quality report logs and analyzing key trends to identify potential issues.

  8. Leading QA/QC meetings to discuss quality assurance matters and track action items for closure.

  9. Coordinating contractors to ensure effective quality control programs, proposing process improvements as needed.

  10. Promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the project team.

  11. Verifying received equipment and materials to ensure suitability for project use.

  12. Reporting any damaged equipment promptly for timely resolution.

  13. Preparing and issuing documentation for equipment/material handover to subcontractors.

  14. Scheduling and facilitating special inspections as required by project regulations.

  15. Reviewing and disseminating as-built documentation to relevant parties.

  16. Interacting with stakeholders to foster collaboration and project success.

  17. Supporting customer-led initiatives to enhance project outcomes.

  18. Prioritizing safety by ensuring compliance with safety practices and promptly addressing concerns.

  19. Providing daily Quality Control reports to project management for comprehensive project status updates.

What you need to bring:

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction quality management, with a focus on gas plant projects.

  • Strong background in high voltage electrical systems, substations, site management, and commissioning.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction quality on large-scale projects.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Quality Auditor, Six Sigma) preferred.
