Introduction

Civil / Structural Lead - LNG Project (Afungi, Mozambique | 28/28 Rotation | 12-Month Contract (Renewable)

Join a world-class, multi-billion-dollar LNG development in a remote coastal location. This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing large-scale onshore infrastructure within a complex, multicultural project environment.

What are you going to do

Interface Management

Act as the focal point between civil/structural and other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, piping, HSE, QA/QC, logistics).
Lead interface coordination meetings, ensuring issues are identified, tracked, and resolved.
Manage interface documentation and ensure full traceability.
Anticipate and resolve cross-discipline conflicts.
Oversee contractual interfaces including deviations, concessions, and non-conformities.

Technical & Operational Leadership

Lead all civil/structural site activities through to commissioning.
Ensure compliance with technical standards, HSE, quality, and schedule.
Provide technical support on construction, claims, and contractor correspondence.
Monitor and evaluate EPC contractor performance and progress.

Team Leadership

Manage and develop multidisciplinary site teams.
Promote collaboration and a strong safety culture across all activities.

Essential skills and knowledge

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
12-15+ years' experience on major industrial projects (LNG/Oil & Gas preferred)
Proven leadership on complex construction sites
Strong interface management experience
Fluent English (Portuguese or French advantageous)
Excellent HSE mindset and decision-making under pressure
