Introduction

Civil / Structural Site Engineer - LNG Project (Afungi, Mozambique | 28/28 Rotation | 12-Month Contract (renewable)

Join a landmark, multi-billion-dollar LNG development in a remote coastal location, delivering complex onshore infrastructure at scale. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of site execution, driving technical solutions, supporting construction progress, and contributing to one of the most significant energy projects globally.

What are you going to do

Respond to Technical Queries (TQ), Deviation Requests, Concession Requests, NCRs, and Waivers.
Provide technical support for claims, disputes, and contractor correspondence.
Propose practical on-site solutions to avoid delays and optimise construction progress.
Support punch list closure, site testing, and completion of discipline-related works.
Coordinate closely with EPC contractor teams and across all disciplines.
Participate in daily/weekly coordination and discipline meetings.
Monitor construction progress and support evaluation of contractor claims.
Assist with as-built documentation and site reporting.
Identify risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation actions.
Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements and promote a strong safety culture.
Support the Civil / Structural Lead across all site activities.

Essential skills and knowledge

Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
Extensive experience on major industrial or oil & gas projects
Strong background in site engineering and construction support
Proven experience handling TQs, NCRs, deviations, and contractor interfaces
Experience with claims, disputes, and contractual processes
Excellent coordination and problem-solving skills
Fluent English required
