On behalf of our client, a World Leader within the Energy / Oil & Gas industry, Brunel is presently sourcing a Business Support Associate for a 12 month contract based in Aberdeen on a part time basis

What are you going to do

Working Role Purpose Business Support will provide high-quality administrative and operational support to the UK Upstream Leadership Team and extended leadership teams. This role is critical in enabling the leadership team to operate efficiently and effectively, ensuring smooth coordination of business activities, stakeholder engagement, and internal governance.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support:

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for leadership team members.
  • Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and minutes for leadership meetings.
  • Support travel arrangements and expense reporting.

Operational Coordination:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of internal events, workshops, and town halls.
  • Support the tracking and follow-up of key actions and deliverables.
  • Maintain internal documentation and filing systems.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the leadership team.
  • Coordinate communications and ensure timely responses to queries and requests.

Project & Initiative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Assist with data gathering, reporting, and presentation preparation.

Governance & Compliance:

  • Support adherence to internal governance processes and policies.
  • Ensure confidentiality and data protection standards are upheld.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a business support, executive assistant, or administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with internal systems (e.g., MyTravel, SERP, SharePoint) is a plus.
  • Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information Desirable Attributes
