North West Cluster - Powering the Future Fuel of the North West
Events

North West England is becoming one of the UK’s most important hubs for industrial decarbonisation. At the centre of that shift is HyNet North West project and the Liverpool Bay CCS project, which are helping build the hydrogen production and carbon capture and storage (CCS) infrastructure the region will need in the years to come. Together, these projects will deliver cleaner energy to the UK’s energy-intensive industries, transport and even homes, putting the North West at the heart of the UK’s energy transition.
As hydrogen hubs, carbon capture facilities, and CSS networks move closer to construction, the focus turns to delivery. Building this first-of-a-kind energy infrastructure takes specialist engineers, project leaders and commissioning expertise, all working in step with contractors, utilities, technology providers and the wider supply chain.
The UK energy sector is expected to need tens of thousands of new specialists to support net zero, with more than 660,000 new energy jobs projected in the North West alone by 2040. At this point, access to the right delivery partners and project ready teams can make all the difference.
On March 25, our colleagues Chris McPherson, our Business Development Director and Latifa Avenell, our Business Development Consultant will be in Liverpool for the EIC North West Cluster event. They’ll be meeting with project leaders, developers and contractors to talk about hiring needs, delivery challenges and workforce planning for upcoming project phases.

Right now, we’re having conversations with clients who need support with:
