Introduction

Proficient in testing Instrument and telecoms (software & hardware).
Responsible for maintenance, inspection and repair of the radio equipment, telecommunication networks and computer networks ensuring those in good working order.
Tests field telecom systems including analogue/digital system with the aim of ensuring system is working efficiently.
Performs shop maintenance including repairs, maintenance of field telecoms to keep telecoms operating at their peak efficiency.

What are you going to do

Under the direct supervision of telecom's engineer he/she shall work in cooperation with other colleagues from telecom's and instrumentation at on-shore and off-shore.
He/she shall visit on-shore and off-shore sites from time to time when necessary and there are projects.
Perform corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance on all assigned field telecom in timely, safely and cost-effective manner with the aim of enhancing equipment performance ensuring reliability and availability of equipment.
Involves in diagnosis and calibration of mal-functioning systems, apparatus, components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of break-down and rectify the problem.
Perform first line of maintenance of Fire and Gas, ESD/EDP, telecom, DCS with the aim of minimizing downtime of the equipment/plant and operate the plant safely.
Inspects telecom systems and their components for evaluating the condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.
Carries out standby (callout) duties and also responsible for the training of National Trainees.

A minimum of Eight (8) years of relevant experience in oil and gas/petrochemical industry.
Capable of understanding hook up and loop drawings, Cause & Effect charts, P&IDs and Sequence of events (SOE).
Full working and maintenance knowledge of telecom equipment in hazardous area.
Should have good knowledge of safety practices relating to the oil & Gas Industry.
Preferred to have good knowledge/experience in SAP system.
Fair knowledge in computer skills, communication skills, meets operations, maintenance and project teams for trouble shooting.
Skill in report preparation.
