Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or System Engineering
- 8 years’ experience working in telecoms, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, and including 1 years experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/sub-contractors / service / vendor personnel.
- Previous experience with Brownfield engineering and execution is desired.
- Possess competence in accordance with global Telecommunications Engineering competency and development framework
- Conversant with relevant Telecommunications national and international standards and has a broad understanding of all aspects of Telecommunications systems and a deep understanding of own specialty(ies).
- Proven track records of delivering a portfolio of Telecom projects including complex and multiple vendor projects within international settings.
- Requires hands on expertise and design experience with telecoms equipment and systems design (OTN, UHF TETRA VHF radio Systems, IP Networks), security (access control, CCTV surveillance networks, fence intruder detection, ANPR), public/emergency announcement (PAGA), and networks (WANs, LANs, Industrial Wireless Networks Wiring, Routers, Switches, Servers etc.), ship/shore communication systems, Hazardous area requirements (EExd, EEi, EExe).
- Shall be proficient in fibre optic cabling network design, copper cable networks and relevant infrastructure such as duct banks, cable / ladder tray designs. This shall include transition of design engineering to construction deliverables.
