Mining
In this pivotal operational leadership role, you will lead the site survey department, directing all mine surveying, geospatial mapping, volume reconciliations, and spatial data systems across open-pit and/or underground mining operations. You will play a vital role in providing high-precision spatial data to guide mine planning, heavy infrastructure development, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance.
Departmental Leadership: Direct and mentor a team of mine surveyors, spatial technicians, and contractors to ensure high-accuracy surveying services across site operations.
Geospatial & Survey Management: Oversee topographic surveys, mine progress mapping, stockpile volume calculations, blast pattern layouts, structural deformation monitoring, and infrastructure alignment.
Technology & Innovation: Drive the adoption of advanced spatial technologies, including UAV/drone photogrammetry, 3D laser scanning (LiDAR), RTK-GPS systems, and modern mine surveying software (e.g., Maptek Vulcan, Surpac, Datamine, Deswik).
End-of-Month Reconciliations: Deliver accurate monthly volume measurements, pit surface reconciliations, and production audits for mine planning, financial reporting, and joint-venture governance.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Indonesian mining safety regulations (Kepmen ESDM), company standards, and statutory boundary requirements. Maintain strict site safety standards across field survey operations.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with Mine Planning, Geology, Civil Construction, and Environmental teams to integrate spatial data into daily production and long-term life-of-mine plans.
Experience: Minimum 10+ years of progressive mine surveying experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or management capacity within large-scale mining operations.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Geodesy, Geomatics, Surveying Engineering, or a related field.
Mandatory / Preferred Certifications:
Valid POM (Pengawas Operasional Madya) or POP (Pengawas Operasional Pratama) certification from ESDM.
Licensed Registered Surveyor / Indonesian Geodesy Association (ISI) certification is highly desirable.
Technical Proficiency: Expert mastery of mine survey software (Surpac, Vulcan, Deswik, or Micromine), GIS tools, drone mapping software (Pix4D, Agisoft), RTK GPS, total stations, and 3D laser scanners.
Roster & Work Conditions: Fully open to site-based work on a rotational roster (e.g., 8:2 or 6:2) in remote mining concessions across Indonesia.
Languages: Professional command of Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken) for site team leadership and international executive reporting.
