A great opportunity for an experienced Production Estimator to join a fast-paced, supportive team, estimating quality residential homes with excellent systems and software. With around 300 homes delivered annually, enjoy consistent workflow, variety and long-term opportunity.
What are you going to do
As a Production Estimator, you'll prepare accurate and timely estimates across a range of residential projects, supported by established systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare production estimates for residential homes.
- Review plans, specifications, engineering and inclusions.
- Complete quantity take-offs, measurements and detailed costings.
- Estimate materials, labour, trades and construction costs.
- Prepare BOQs and pricing for turnkey and customised homes.
- Identify discrepancies, omissions and potential cost risks.
- Verify supplier and trade pricing.
- Manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.
- Work closely with construction, drafting and purchasing teams.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.
- Contribute to improving estimating processes and efficiency.
- Databuild, On-Site and Bluebeam software
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
We're looking for an experienced Residential Estimator who is confident working in a high-volume production environment.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in residential construction estimating.
- Experience with new homes, volume building or production building.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials and costs.
- The ability to confidently read and interpret residential building plans.
- Strong quantity take-off and cost-estimating skills.
- Experience with BOQs and detailed project costing.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A practical and commercial approach to estimating.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
