Introduction

Brunel International is seeking an experienced Minor Works/Projects Superintendent for a 6-month contract position. This role operates on a FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) roster and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects within the resources sector. What are you going to do

As a Minor Works/Projects Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of minor construction and maintenance projects. You will ensure that all works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Working closely with contractors, site teams, and stakeholders, you will monitor progress and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising minor works and small-scale projects from mobilisation to completion
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Managing contractor performance and coordinating site activities
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting
  • Liaising with client representatives and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations
  • Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies

This role is based on a FIFO roster, requiring flexibility and readiness to work in remote locations.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Proven experience as a Minor Works or Projects Superintendent within the mining, resources, or construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and safety regulations
  • Experience working on FIFO rosters in remote locations
  • Ability to manage multiple minor projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Current Australian construction safety tickets (e.g., White Card, Site Induction)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
