Introduction

You will serve as the system architect for high-precision mechanical systems across semiconductor equipment, precision motion systems, and analytical instrumentation. You work as the regional technical authority for Southeast Asian customers while architecting system solutions and leading distributed engineering teams based in India to deliver complex mechanical modules and assemblies.

What are you going to do

We are partnering with our client, a leading innovator in high‑tech semiconductor and precision mechanics, to appoint a Mechanical System Architect for their growing team in Pune. In this permanent role, you will define and drive the mechanical architecture of cutting‑edge semiconductor equipment and precision instrumentation platforms, working closely with international stakeholders and contributing to technically complex, high‑impact projects across Asia and Europe.

  • Mechanical system architecture - Defining overall mechanical system architecture and interface specifications for advanced semiconductor and precision instrumentation platforms.
  • Requirements decomposition - Translating customer inputs and system specifications into clear, traceable mechanical subsystem requirements and design constraints.
  • Technical leadership - Leading design reviews, defending architectural decisions, and aligning multi‑disciplinary, international teams.
  • GD&T, DFM/DFA, DFMEA - Applying advanced tolerance, manufacturability, and failure‑mode methodologies to ensure robust, ultra‑precision assemblies.
  • Project execution - Driving timelines, resources, and deliverables for customer engagements across Southeast Asia.
  • Cross‑site collaboration - Conducting technical alignment between Netherlands and India facilities and supporting knowledge transfer.
  • Customer support - Providing architecture guidance during installation, commissioning, and field service operations.
  • Team mentoring - Coaching distributed engineering teams in India and internationally on system design and quality standards.
  • High‑tech domain expertise - Experience in semiconductor equipment, precision mechanics, ultra‑high precision positioning, vacuum systems, contamination control, and cleanroom standards.
  • Advanced tools and principles - Proficiency with 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, NX), vibration isolation, thermal stability, environmental control, and precision automation components.

If this aligns with your background and ambitions, we would be pleased to discuss this opportunity and introduce you to our client's team.
