Introduction

  • Ensure assigned tasks are well managed in accordance with overall MP engineering roadmap and management plan, that includes:
    • Overall MP Engineering roadmap, strategy and planning development
    • Resource planning management and manning reinforcement
    • Availability and consistency of engineering method statements within MP Engineering and across all MP Projects.
    • Engineering audit, progress monitoring and readiness assessment
    • Overall MP Engineering Risk Management and Change Management activities
  • Support MP projects for planning, organizing, execution and control of full life cycle of engineering management activities from initiation to close out.
  • Interface management within MP EMT, with COMPANY entities, shareholders, and external parties to provide support to Projects/Packages.
  • Ensure projects engineering scope of work is delivered by Engineering team according to project objectives, statement of requirement, COMPANY specification/standards and contractual requirements.
  • The scope of activities will concern green field (new development), brownfield activities (on existing platforms) and integration works.
  • Major Projects involve the development of new offshore platforms, integration to the existing facilities, installation of subsea pipelines, debottlenecking of existing functions, all these activities will be executed across several international sites. Projects involves complex interfaces with other entities of COMPANY.
  • Possibility of multiple worldwide missions to follow-up engineering development with various contractors.

What are you going to do

  • Assist MP Engineering Manager in preparation of overall MP Engineering strategy, road map, planning, objectives and KPIs;
  • Develop MP Engineering Resource Management Plan and manning strategy including mobilization and demobilization plans;
  • Work with Package Engineering Leads to review the package manning and resources, ensuring the team is staffed and competent;
  • Manage resource mobilization by development of job descriptions, RFQ request, CV screening, interview, and recommendation to recruit;
  • Manage onboarding process in close contact with MP PCM team and ensure MP Engineering induction is provided to new resources;
  • Ensure development of MP Engineering Training Plan for approval and execution;
  • Ensure development of engineering method statements, processes and procedures, work instructions, templates, check lists, etc.; ensure consistent utilization of them across all projects;
  • Review the current engineering activities and business processes within MP Engineering Team in order to identify the area of optimization and improvement;
  • Ensure development of Engineering Benchmark multidiscipline database by retrieving project key data at various phases of projects;
  • Ensure identification and capturing engineering lesson learnt through the project execution and capitalization of them across all new MP Projects;
  • Work closely with MP HSEQ Team to enable issuance of MP engineering lesson learned into the FAIDAH Tool;
  • Monitor engineering technical performance across the MP Projects; identify areas of vigilance/ area of concern and propose the way-forward;
  • Perform audit within MP Engineering Team and across all projects to ensure compliance with MP Engineering processes/procedures;
  • Perform engineering audits for Engineering Contractor(s) at various stages of project including CFT& CTR qualification, design, construction support and close out phases;
  • Monitor overall progress of engineering for each package, work closely with Package Engineering Leads to execute readiness assessment for engineering development and project milestones/steps;
  • Ensure major engineering deliverables produced by various projects/packages meet overall Pre-study, Statement of Requirements and COMPANY Technical Specifications and rules;
  • Issue EMT weekly/monthly steering data/report, detailing overall progress across schedule, risks, changes, technical issues and resources to ensure accurate information is available to support decision making and opportunities;
  • Identify, record, update regularly engineering related risks at EMT level, put in place actions to mitigate them;
  • Work closely with Project Team to ensure the engineering risks are captured and manage at project levels and consistent information on the subject are communicated between various packages/projects;
  • Identify potential changes at EMT level, apply change management procedure and communicate the information to the packages;
  • Ensure proper execution of management of change process within MP Engineering Team by managing all Engineering CPN/SCNs;
  • Support potential deviations from the COMPANY referential with the Engineering Manager and Technical Authority for final decision across all packages, communicate the result information through all packages and EMT;
  • Manage engineering support to be provided to the MP projects/packages;
  • Coordinate weekly engineering management meeting with Package Engineering Leads to review progress, technical issues and required supports from EMT;
  • Coordinate with shareholders, and external parties on technical support and reviews needed by projects that includes preparation of scope of work and RFHOS, obtaining the required approvals, coordination of meetings and to ensure the required engineering materials are delivered in quality and due time;
  • Support the closure of project technical review points that need liaising with other COMPANY entities;
  • Assist with overall project closeout, including completion documents, As-built, engineering, deficiency corrections and handover process;
  • Participate in weekly and monthly engineering meetings with Contractors, and in specific ad hoc meetings as required by packages/projects.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Qualification: master’s degree in a technical discipline;
  • Graduate engineer with a good level of technical understanding of all relevant technical disciplines, with at least 15 years’ experience of onshore/offshore oil & gas project;
  • Offshore experience is required;
  • Good knowledge of industry codes, standards and legislations on SHE aspect;
  • Familiar with Oil & Gas project organizations;
  • Familiar with project procedures, Management System standards and guidelines;
  • Language: fluent English;
  • Computer literate;
  • Strong leadership skills and good communication skills;
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
