Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
- Bachelor's degree in sciences, marine disciplines, or engineering or Marine First-Class Certificate of Competency
- 10 years seagoing experience as a shipboard engineer or sea officer, including 2 years as Chief Engineer or Master
- Experienced in handling/managing offshore marine units operating in the oil and gas industry.
- Broad and extensive knowledge of critical marine operations including offshore installation and construction vessels and barges, heavy lifts, transportation, pipe and cable lay, jack-up accommodation barges, dive support vessels.
- Knowledge of Dynamic Positioning Systems & Operations, DP FMEA Analysis, DP FMEA Proving Trials, Annual DP Trials, ASOG/CAM.
- Experienced in managing marine safety and quality assurance & compliance processes, following corporate requirements and international standards.
- High knowledgeable in International Maritime Regulations, Codes and Standards.
- Experience within the Middle East region is advantageous.
- Previous Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) and Marine Consultancy experience is advantageous.
- International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) accreditation & certification is preferred.
- Local and international maritime regulations (e.g., IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code).
- Ability to work on or be based on a platform or vessel.
