About this role: Grid Connection/Inverter Engineer
On behalf of our client, a global leader in the renewable energy, we are actively seeking a forward-thinking and ambitious Grid Connection/Inverter Engineer.
Position Overview:We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Grid Connect/Inverter Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering, specifically with in-depth knowledge of the electricity market, particularly as it relates to batteries and energy storage integration. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the industry and a proven track record in the operation and maintenance (O&M) or development of grid-connected systems. This is a technical role that requires hands-on expertise and in-depth understanding of grid-connected inverter systems and their integration with battery technologies.
Responsibilities:
Grid Connection and Integration: Collaborate with the engineering team to design, plan, and implement grid-connected systems involving inverters and batteries. Ensure seamless integration of the systems with the electricity grid.
Electricity Market Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and changes in the electricity market, especially in relation to battery technologies. Analyze market trends and regulatory requirements to optimize grid-connected systems for maximum efficiency and profitability.
Inverter Performance Analysis: Evaluate and assess the performance of inverters used in grid-connected systems. Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization of inverter operation and efficiency.
Battery Technology Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of battery technologies and their compatibility with grid-connected systems. Recommend suitable battery solutions based on specific project requirements.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to grid-connected systems and inverters. Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to ensure the continuous and reliable operation of the systems.
Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of grid-connected systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, OEMs, and infrastructure managers, to ensure successful project execution and smooth communication throughout the development and operational stages.
Safety and Compliance: Uphold strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines applicable to grid-connected systems and electrical engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of electrical engineering with a specific focus on grid-connected systems and inverter technology.
- Extensive knowledge of the electricity market, particularly in relation to battery technologies and their applications in grid-connected systems.
- Proven expertise in the operation and maintenance (O&M) or development of grid-connected systems.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and solve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements related to grid-connected systems and electrical engineering.
- Please note: This position does not involve management responsibilities and is primarily focused on technical expertise and hands-on work related to grid-connected inverter systems.
