Introduction

On behalf of our client, one of the world’s great energy production corporations, we are looking for a Sr E&I Project Engineer to Contribute to the successful delivery of Ichthys Topside Phase 2 Topside modifications:

  • To act as Implementation Preparation interface between engineering, implementation execution andcommissioning for the Topside Phase 2 modifications until hand over of scope to Implementation Execution Team.
  • To support the Phase 2 Implementation Preparation Lead,
  • To act as interface between Ph2 Engineering team, Ph2 Implementation Execution team, Ops team &management team,
  • Assist Phase 2 Implementation Preparation Lead. Act as their delegate when away,
  • Ensure that all works are carried out in compliance with the relevant Standards and Guidelines,
  • Ensure projects are delivered to a high level of quality, on time and on budget,
  • Timely liaison with all relevant stakeholders,
  • Regular and accurate supporting of Brownfield opportunities.

What are you going to do

  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
  • Ensure all personnel in the team, including contractors, are fully versed and compliant with the Company’s safety procedures and values.
  • Prepare a Personal Safety Commitment Statement and demonstrate compliance.
  • Ensure all activities minimize the impact on the environment in line with Company’s policies andrequirements.
  • Prioritise and manage the development of the Phase 2 Project Plan,
  • Prioritise, manage, develop and/or review the preparation of implementation deliverables,
  • Monitor and maintain the Project Plan,
  • Liaise with the discipline engineers, implementation team, site personnel and other stakeholders to ensure scopes are well defined and executable, and any queries or concerns are addressed,
  • Lead and or coordinate required workshops to confirm executability of the scop (Execution concept selection, constructability, construction HAZID, etc.)
  • Liaise with the other functional focal points (e.g. Shutdown team, Maintenance team, etc.) and other stakeholders throughout the life of all Topside 2 modifications to ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date, and any queries are addressed
  • Review Integration activities: SAP notifications, WO, WPX, job card,
  • Participate and develop scope for: pre/post-shut down / during shut down, evaluation of manhours and resources necessary for Offshore execution,
  • Participate to relevant workshops and reviews (e.g. 3D model review, risk assessments, etc.), In general,
  • Identify process improvements within the Implementation department,
  • Strong interface with planning team and ensure that key targets are achieved,
  • Contribute to development of progress reports,
  • Demonstrate proactive engagement with other stakeholders relating to the execution phase 2 Topside modifications.
  • Provide proactive coordination within Inpex Australia related to Brownfields Project activities.
  • Demonstrate and encourage empathetic teamwork as a member of a culturally diverse organisation

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum 10 years-experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 5 years in a PE.
  • Offshore experience on large project.
  • Multi-discipline experience (Structure/E&I/Piping…)
  • Precom / com experience
  • Valid TBOSIET & Offshore Medical
  • Strong understanding of project execution management systems including commercial, planning andbudgeting processes.
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Upstream and downstream facility technologies - subsea, offshore processing facilities.
  • Highly competent, motivated person with good interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Able to diplomatically manage ambiguity, conflict and uncertainty in a culturally diverse environment.
  • High awareness of safe working practices associated with design, construction, precommissioning,installation, hook-up and commissioning of oil & gas facilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written and the ability to influence a wide range of seniorstakeholders to successfully support the objectives and outcomes or this role.
  • Well-developed leadership and decision-making skills
