Introduction
- The Hook-Up and Commissioning Lead (ICSS) shall provide oversight and direction to the project's main contractor, sub-contractors and vendors, during the offshore hook-up and commissioning stages.
- Providing technical guidance and expertise on ICSS principles, codes, standards and coverage for workshops, inspections and site testing.
What are you going to do
- Support PMT by reviewing critical documents and reports generated by the main subcontractor. Attend workshops/review meetings when requested.
- Analyze technical proposals and proposed deviations, assess exceptions and new technologies to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Apply lessons learned from previous projects and share new ones with other EPCs.
- Support the qualifications of new suppliers proposed for the project, suppliers that are not on the approved vendor's list.
- Assesses Contractor's manpower loading, providing timely recommendations to project team and be available to backfill needs as required.
- Support the project team to stay on schedule to meet all critical milestones (long lead item (LLI) procurement, engineered equipment procurement; required on site (ROS) dates, etc.); develop and stewards recovery plans to address any schedule delays.
- Witnesses Contractors scope of work and sign off test and check sheets as per project requirements.
- Verify that the Contractor's reports are accurate with regards to progress reporting.
- Cooperate with review teams and take part in quality audit activities throughout the project.
- Report findings accurately and provide a plan to address issues when required.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
- 8 years' experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
- Knowledge and experience in discipline Hook-Up and Commissioning delivery processes and associated project phases, familiar with completions walkdowns and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
- Experience in an Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) role for large contracts, with strong Integrated Control and Safety Systems commissioning/technical skills.
- Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope.
- Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
- Expert in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings and procedures.
- Knowledge in projects execution, engineering, operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning and systems completion.
- Knowledge in compliance with contract requirements including codes and standards, and contract technical specification compliance.
- Experience with vendors operating in the LNG industry, such as compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides, etc.
