The Brunel Americas team is constantly expanding and reshaping itself to better serve the needs of our clients. “Passion for People” is not just a marketing slogan, it is one of the core principles that drives every decision we make as a business, including the talent we bring in and the positions we create. In pursuit of that goal to better serve people, Brunel is happy to announce the addition of Jessica Sotelo to our Houston office as an Account Manager on our LNG Team.
Meet Jessica Sotelo
Jessica, born and raised in the Houston area, comes to Brunel with many years of experience as an Account Executive. After initially working to pursue a career in Nursing, she found that her personality and talents were more aligned with Public Relations and Sales where her bubbly, outgoing nature could be better utilized.
After graduating with a BA in Public Relations from the University of Houston, she has had an extremely successful career as an Account Executive including winning a Salesperson of the Year award at her previous employer. She now looks to continue that success and career trajectory as part of the Brunel team.
Her role with Brunel as an Account Manager will see her focus on building relationships and rapport with several of the Hiring Managers for existing Brunel clients – particularly in Liquified Natural Gas (LNG).
Jessica will be a crucial piece of the process, helping to ensure that Brunel is doing everything we can to best meet our clients’ needs and reengineering our service offerings to scale with their specific projects. Building those personal relationships and developing trust with clients is Jessica’s favorite thing about her line of work, and that’s what has made her as successful as she has been to this point in her career.
Like many people at Brunel, Jessica was most interested in joining the team because she could tell it was an atmosphere that would invest in her growth long term. After learning about the open position from a friend already with the company, Jessica was happy to discover that Brunellers have a much longer tenure than expected for an industry like Recruiting. Brunel’s median tenure is 4 years, well above the industry average, and many members of our Houston office have been with Brunel for 10+ years.
“I loved that there were a lot of people who have been here a long time and have held a variety of different positions. You can tell that there’s a lot of room for growth at Brunel and that’s something that was very important for me.”
Eventually, Jessica hopes to manage a full team of Account Managers like her, passing on the wisdom she’s earned through many years of success on the job.
Fun Facts about Jessica
When she’s not managing accounts, Jessica loves to travel both domestically and internationally. It’s on her bucket list to visit all 50 states before she turns 50 years old.
She also loves to attend concerts and music festivals, watch Astros baseball with her family, and recently became a certified Pilates instructor.Favorite Movies: Star Wars and Horror movies
